Aluminium Wire

I. K. Electrical supplies enamelled aluminium winding wire insulated with a PolyEsterImide (EIW) coating — a lighter, more cost-efficient alternative to copper for windings that do not need copper’s higher per-volume conductivity. Aluminium’s much lower density more than offsets this: on a per-weight basis, it carries over twice the electrical conductivity of copper, making it an efficient choice wherever winding weight is a factor.

The PolyEsterImide enamel is built for strong heat and thermal-shock resistance, along with high resistance to hydrolytic degradation and refrigerant exposure, making this wire a dependable choice for fan motors, transformers and industrial motor windings operating at a temperature index of 180°C.

Manufactured to IEC 60317-15, our aluminium winding wire gives OEM manufacturers a weight- and cost-conscious alternative to copper without compromising on insulation performance.
